Level 2 Award Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF)
Designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage casualties with anaphylaxis and to perform effective basic life support until the emergency services arrive.
Who should attend?
The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency. Successful candidates will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, and will be equipped with the vital skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective treatment.
Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF). This is an accredited, Ofqual regulated qualification. Certificates are valid for 1 year.

What we cover on this Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis course
This course consists of 1 unit:
Chain of Survival
Incident and casualty assessment
Managing an unresponsive casualty
CPR and defibrillation
Common anaphylaxis triggers
Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
No previous First Aid knowledge is required to attend this course. Learners should be able to complete the physical activity of administering CPR. Due to the course content learners should be able to deal with stressful situations. If this course is delivered in-house the organisation are responsible for assessing the suitability of learners to carry out this role in the workplace.
Assessment will be via practical assessments.
