Level 3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
This course is designed for anyone wanting to become an accredited first aider or appointed person within the workplace, giving learners the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in a low risk work environment.
Who should attend?
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid. This is an Ofqual regulated qualification. Certificates are valid for 3 years.

Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
Assessing an incident
Managing an unresponsive casualty
CPR and defibrillation
Wounds and bleeding
No previous First Aid knowledge is required to attend this course. Learners should be able to complete the physical activity of administering CPR. Due to the course content learners should be able to deal with stressful situations. If this course is delivered in-house the organisation are responsible for assessing the suitability of learners to carry out the role of first aider in the workplace.
Assessment will be via multiple choice questions and observations carried out by the course trainer.
