Who should attend?
The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.
Qualification
This course consists of 2 units: Unit 1 covers the content of the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. Unit 2 covers the recognition and management of illness and injury in the workplace.

Pre-requisites
No previous First Aid knowledge is required to attend this course. Learners should be able to complete the physical activity of administering CPR. Due to the course content learners should be able to deal with stressful situations. If this course is delivered in-house the organisation are responsible for assessing the suitability of learners to carry out this role in the workplace.
Assessment
Assessment will be via multiple choice question papers and observations carried out by the course trainer.
